Strange Lights In The Night Sky

I can't say 4 sure it was a ufo but I don't know how else to explain it. Living in the country sth of Adelaide the night sky is very dark & stars are bright & plentiful. 6mths ago, midnight, I saw 2 stars in the east below Orion 3 or 4 finger-widths apart & approx 10 degrees off horizontal from each other. As I watched they started to descend slowly toward the horizon in unison, not changing their positions relative to each other. About a minute later they were gone, leaving me bewildered & somewhat awed . . . has anyone else had a similar experience?

If you didn't know what it was, it was a UFO. An UNIDENTIFIED flying object. Doesn't mean someone else more familiar with the sky could have identified it.

Don't feel bad. It's a very common mistake. If this kind of stuff interests you you might like to get involved with a local astronomy club. You don't need to buy any equipment. Amateur astronomers get really excited when laymen ask questions. They are happy to tell you all about their hobby.
