I Am Shamed

I was having a nice conversation with Das today and I embarrassingly admitted to some of the concerts I've seen. I make Das throw up a little in his mouth.

I hereby confess that I have seen the following "artists" live in concert:

1. Vanilla Ice - twice - the first time he opened for MC Hammer
2. MC Hammer
3. New Kids on the Block - twice - one show my mom tripped over a row of hedges and hurt herself
4. Backstreet Boys - BUT, there is a reason for that: I took my 5 year old cousin to her first show
5. Tommy Page, Linear and Sweet Sensation - I have no excuse other than to say I was young and impressionable and yes, I have seen Tommy Page's appearance on "Full House"
6. Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch - yes sirree Bob, I saw the award winning/nominated actor before everyone else loved him!!

Now, I'm not proud to admit these. But admitting is the first step, right?

Rick Springfield!!! Sweet!!

OMG CK - I am SHOCKED you didn't add Milli Vanilli to the mix!! OK - I can't talk - I saw some bad ones too... I went to Rick Springfield .... When he was about 55. Yeah -- :)

Frampton!?!?!? Oh....that is bad. LOL

Frampton! OMG... how did I ever have the hots for him(?) when I was young???!!!?!? Thought he was cute!

Of course not. He's a very tolerant and friendly man. He stated in an interview that there are no kinds of music which he doesn't like :) he draws inspiration from everything. Even Backstreet Boys :D

Frusciante wouldn't mind, would he?

I think you should stick by your choices of taste, even if they are choices of your past. Don't be so hard on yourself. You liked the stuff back then so no worries :)

I was actually going to confess that, but thought a group would be more fun.

Girl, those are lame! You should have written that as a confession! LOL I'm just kidding We forgive you. I hope you don't feel too traumatized!

Peter Frampton! Oh MY! I haven't been to any lame concerts I can think of.

this is pretty good!

Oh, thank goodness for you, Maddawg. You dodged a bullet right there.

The Rock Gods prevailed and actually prevented me from seeing Paula Abdul. Got to the arena and was informed she "did something to her leg". This was right around the whole bulemia thing with her.

You saw Janis?!?!?!??

Sadly, I once saw John "Cougar" Mellencamp cry huge tears after being booed off the stage when he was opening for Janis Jopplin with Big Brother & the Holding co. and the Jefferson Airplane. It was and is very embarrassing....

I saw Frampton 3 times!
My first 12 yr. old crush.
Doooooooyouuuuuuuuuuuuuufeeeeeeeeeeeel like I do

Yes, Peter Frampton is right up there with Vanilla Ice. Well, wait. At least he played an instrument.

CK, I can't make this stuff up.
It was aboard the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
He used to play a stuttering clown on Hee Haw.

Ummm...where does Peter Frampton fit in?

The most embarrassing concert I saw was just last year.
Elwood Smooch and The Choo Choo Cha Boogie Show.

I'll trade you Grand Funk for Vanilla Ice.

The shame you must have been dealing with all these years, poor CK.
But you can move on now. Peace.

Ooh, that is bad. "Lady in Red".....teeth-rottening bad.

I just lost my appetite
