I Have Sunbathed Topless
Hej!
If you have read my stories about nude sunbathing and nude beaches you might wonder why I would write a story about "just" being topless, but here's what made it special: it turned out it was forbidden to sunbath topless! :D
When I turned 17 my parents allowed me and a friend of mine to go on a summer vacation in Germany. We were staying at a resort close to the Polish boarder for a few days and after three days my friends parents would meet us there. We were without parental control for 72h but unlike other teenagers they knew we wouldn't abuse our parents trust. That might sound boring at first, but we still managed to get into trouble without leaving the resort!
I knew my friend since our first day at school, but she and her parents moved away when we were in 5th grade so my only chance to meet with here was during vacations. She's the same girl that had introduced me to nude sunbathing when I was 13 and nude beaches when I was 15.
As it turned out the receptionist spoke barely English. Apparently he was fluent in German, Polish and Russian so we were forced to try to communicate with him in German. Both of us had learned German as a second language at school and we could read German newspapers or write messages in German but when it came to speaking German we noticed that the receptionist had a hard time trying to understand what we were trying to say. We ended up communicating via writing notes and listening to him answering in German. It took us half an hour just to check into the resort so we decided to avoid "talking" to the receptionist at all costs.
Unfortunately we had to visit him again at our second day at the resort. We wanted to visit the private beach of the resort but there were all kind of rules about food, beach chairs, renting beach buggies and buying sandcastles (?) and we didn't understand any of them because the instructions were written in German and it seemed that they had put a lot of effort into finding the most complicated sentence structure and strange words to confuse foreigners. Maybe they just wanted to keep their beach chairs to themselves. Isn't that a common prejudice about Germans? :D
After suffering through fifteen minutes talking with the receptionist we knew that it was forbidden to bring food and electrical appliances (?) to the beach and that it wasn't a nude beach. He had told us the last part without us having to ask them, because other guests had complained about nude couples on the beach before. As it later turned out that meant that partially nudity was forbidden as well (!) Somehow we got the impression that it was allowed to go topless and that's what we had in mind when we got to the beach.
I had never been nude at a beach that wasn't a nude beach but once again my friend succeeded in persuading me to try it. We lied down on to deck chairs, facing the Baltic Sea and as soon as I took my bikini top off I felt that unique, tingling feeling of sun rays warming my chest. It was easy to go topless because we were the only people around apart from an older couple sitting in a beach chair and they couldn't see us without having to turn around. We started by sunning our front and we turned over to sun our backs when we heard a couple of other guest arriving. As it turned out it was a young family with a son about half our age and another older couple that was fully dressed and headed for the beach chairs. We had changed our position so we were facing the ocean again and after we felt we had lied down enough we discussed if we should put out tops on to go into the water. We wouldn't swim, we just wanted to feel the cold Baltic Sea around our ankles. We decided that it wouldn't be harmful for a child to see two topless teenage girls but we would keep our distance from the young family because we didn't want to harass anyone with out partially nude bodies. As it turned out we were falsely alarmed. The boy was too busy building his sandcastle to take notice of us and when we saw his parents looking at them, both were smiling, obviously not feeling uncomfortable.
When we returned to our beach chairs we noticed that a employee from the resort was waiting for us. We recognized him by wearing the same uniform as the receptionist. Unlike him he spoke English perfectly and he asked us to put our bikini tops back on. He was in his mid-20's and a few hours later my friend told me she admired the guy because he saw us coming closer from the beach and later talked to us without looking at our bare breasts for a single second :) I quickly followed his orders but my friend stayed topless for another minute asking him why we should get dressed and after he told us that you had to wear at least a bikini at all times at this beach, why nobody had bothered to include that into the long list of rules regarding what is allowed on the beach and what is forbidden. As it turned out it was part of the rules. But instead of using the German word for nude beach "Nacktbadestrand" they had used "FKK" which means "Freikorperkultur" (free body culture). The employee apologized for the confusing text and my friend put her bikini top on.
We kept visiting the beach with our tops on but after her parents arrived we attended a nearby nude beach when they were visiting a German town :D
