What I sometimes do to help me memorize vocab is to get the major color(s) of the Spanish word, picture its meaning, and picture it all in that color. For example, I had trouble with puente (bridge) and peaje (toll booth) because they are both mostly pink. Then I took my purple highlighter and drew a bridge b/c u is purple and I drew a green toll booth b/c of the green j and I still remember the difference b/c those letters really stand out to me in the words. Finding little tricks like these, and like tying the colors of Spanish to the meaning and not to the colors of the English word, really help me and I hope they help you too!

I have problems with the new Spanish letters, like for the letter ch I see a blue C and an orange H. I can't accept it as one letter with its contrasting colors. Also ll is sometimes pink like L, sometimes yellow like eleven. Therefore, I think of it as two L's or eleven, not something that makes the y sound. Despite this, I get get good grades in Spanish because my synesthesia aids in memorization.

Actually, in that case, it works out, because F and E don't look good together and 'ita' is so beautiful. However, madrugador and temprano make no sense at all. I can't tell them apart.

Though I see Feo as brown and Bonita as reddish-pink, I can definitely see where you're coming from and I share the same opinion as you about the names.

Often my opinions and feelings differ from everybody else's because of how associating certain tastes, mindsets, sounds, images, and feelings with music, ideas, movies, writings, etc. affects me.

For example: When I was younger, I used to have difficulty learning certain problems in math and science because of how I'd associate things with them.
