Help! First Tattoo And I Don't Know What To Do.

Okay so I got my first tat yesterday. It bled but not that much. I've put ointment and washed twice already. I know it's normal for it to be red since it's new but my cousin has a tattoo and she said she didn't have any redness or burning sort of feeling. Does it have to do with the fact that mine is on my ankle? I just wanna make sure it isn't infected.
