I Have Transient Global Amnesia
On holiday in Tenerife last week. Had a gentle stroll along the coast. It wasn't very hot and I wasn't dehydrated or hungry. Then went into an unheated pool then into the heated one, which felt nice and warm in comparison but nothing like a sauna or even a hot bath.
Went back into the room and into the shower with my wife. This is when it starts becoming unclear. We had some sexual action but not to ******. Soon after I became aware that I couldn't remember what we'd done that day, the name of our recent grand-child, etc. Long-term memory was ok. No physical problems. Eventually taken to hospital and to bed at 10:30. Woke up early the next morning and everything was fine other than the events of the previous evening were a confused blur.
CAT, MRI, blood test, neck circulation, blood pressure all fine.
Feel fine now other than I have a frequent need to check that I am remembering recent events although the possibility of another episode is somewhat stressful. Does anyone have any idea of how long you have to wait before the likelihood of a second attack drops away?
