I Have Had Enough...

I have had Trichotillomania since I was in year 5. I am in year 10 now and dealing with this problem infront of my peers has become very difficult. I have been bald from 2005 to the beggining of 2008 (which was terrrible because I had to go to school wearing a bandanna for 3 years which provoked people to tease and taunt me with verbal and physical actions). During 2009 when the Victorian Bushfires were on I went bald again, and I still am. I have had to resort to wearing a wig due the the cruel and unlawful comments and snears people at school gave me and still give me. I have tried everything; hypnothearapy, councelling (group and alone), phycology, pshycaitrist, high doses of many, many different medications, hearbal treatment, gloves and bandannas. I have honestly reached the point in my life that this has to come to an end and I am willing to change. I feel weak and foolish to have to ask for help as I understand only I can change my thoughts and actions but I am here to ask for suppot advice in the course of changing the lifestyle I have lead for so long and that has hurt the people that are close to me.

Please leave comments. :) and advice.

You are not weak or foolish for asking for help! That is the show of real strength! To come to a point where you can acknowledge and accept that you have a problem that you cannot possibly resolve on your own and reach out for help shows maturity and responsibility. Don't give up! You may need to go back and try methods you've tried in the past. The difference now is, you are ready and willing to make a change! Something is bound to work - don't give up! Good luck! We are all here with you!
