Well put T. T is for Trust and I cherish it when some one has trust in me to open up and consider me his or her confidant. It defines the foundation of friendship and relations. I don't let it break, no matter what happens at the end.

You have summed it up quite well. I have the same feeling. Here are some great quotes on trust : "Trust, but verify." "The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them." "The best proof of love is trust." ***"The Lord is close to the broken hearted, He rescues those who are crushed in spirit."

For me, trust is not easily given. It must be earned, and once you break it, you can never have it back.

Trust is a four letter work to me. Hmm, well , whats a five letter curse word?
But I like cussing so thats not all bad.

I agree with your vase analagy. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt...even to this day. But once it's been broken.....Yeah.

Heheh you're welcome. SR you have that about right. So goes the placing of trust.

I'm kinda optimistic, but I'm realistic too. Hoping only gets you so far when someone has shown you who they really are time and time again. After a while we gotta just know better for our own sake and try one of the other 6.6 billion people on earth.......

Sorry to seem like debbie downer....... wait, this wasn't an optimistic story anyway! LMFAO!

Of course there's a happy ending..... it's not the loss of the trust, but the value you place in your trust. You learn where to place it with trial and error. Don't give up..... keep trusting.

True...... and yet it makes me sad when I see people waste trust on people who hurt them repeatedly.

....and they always do, and it always backfires, and I'm never surprised.

That's certainly a way of looking at things.

Trust is fragile even before the vase is broken.... just sitting there waiting for something to hit it just right. Even if you're careful..... things always get broken. Always treat it with care and expect that it will get broken.

Sorry, hope someone else comments, my mug can get annoying lol.

I try not to set myself up for hurt. Nope, not anymore.

But your right, you live and you learn, helps us mold self and build strength and experience for possible situations that can hurt us you know.

I see it like this, if it needs patching, it will never be the same like it was before it was patched. Just something that is being held together with fragility and can break at any time because it no longer has the strength it once had. It's true.
