I Have Turner Syndrome
Hi team,
I have been diagnosed since I was about 17 and am now going on 30 this year..
I guess I have never really looked into my condition..or what it means for me or even what others maybe going through that I am too who have Turners.
I guess I have come to a point in my life where i really wanted to see what makes me me and what others out there who have turners are going through as well.
I think I wanted to know what issues you are all dealing with out there adn what are the comment things are that we all have going on in our lioves
My main things I guess
I know about me at the moment then again some may not be related to
- I dont have menstrual cycle- Who knows is that a blessing lol then again having kids is something I think I would have liked to know that you created something and that they are apart of you. I have been in a serious relationship for a while so wasnt soemthing I looked into further though.
- I probably am the worst with directions and memory lol
- I havnt yet got the confidence to drive
- Have hearing loss and my eyesight seems to have worsened otherwise I really live a normal life
- Socialy at times I am not the best conversationlist
I am not sure if I am meant to or be taking anything like estrogen or anything like that but I am not on any medication at all either...
I am glad to be able to be honest and really talk about this as I think my family see me for me and maybe dont understand when they see some differences in me that it is because of the sydrome.
I prob have 2 main questions so far
please share with me all the little experiences you have had living with this and do you think hormonal teatment estrogen etc has helped you?
Was wanting to hear back from people issues they have and what we all may have in common.
Do you reccomend taking estrogen? noone has ever reccomend
I have read some stories on here also about those who feel that they cannot be loved or find it hard to understand that someone could love them..
and I often felt the same untill I was blown away when I met someone that loved me for me and all I ever had to be was myself..
I wasnt the best conversationlist but we could hang out all night and still want to hangout some more..
I didnt have to try and be something I wasnt when around him he just wanted me for who I was and that told me that there is someone for everyone! and they want you for you... So never feel that way and know that there is someone for everyone =)
So keep on the positive everyone. Life is to enjoy and I am glad to now keep in touch with you all for support and understand why I am me
and understand a bit more about myself through you all..
