Jonathan Creek...

I've always enjoyed the opening theme to Jonathan Creek, its a variation on the classical piece 'Danse Macabre' by Saint-Saens. I've always thought that it's so fitting for setting up the whole mood of the show, which switches between slightly humorous banter between the two main characters and slightly cruesome, yet, confusing deaths. Jonathan Creek is show about seemingimpossible murders being figured out by a man who thinks up magic tricks for a living.

I really like the opening theme for Doctor Who, David Tennant era. They changed it for the new doctor, Matt Smith, and, for me, it doesn't have the same impact. Also, I really like the upbeat drumming that is the opening to Have I Got News For You. The BBC must have a thing for opening themes  because I also like the openings for Waking the Dead and, if I'm honest, the BBC News. The Waking the Dead intro gives me the creeps, and BBC News intro is so beautiful, with the accompanying ribbon-like bands making up the world.

yeah, the Waking the Dead tune really sets those goosebumps going for the episode! You just know you're going to be totally freaked by what's to follow!

Yes, really like Waking the Dead. Loved when they added the strings to the Doctor Who theme. They are still there, but yeah, its changed again for the new series.
