hate snakes and spiders. Got the shivers just thinking as I read what you wrote.

If I have a dream and one of them shows up I usually am awake most of the rest of the night. But I do get up and check to see if anythings there. Thankfully I only get these bad dreams once ion a very blue moon.

Hope you're alright tonight after writing this.

I had a dream that there were lots of spiders and snakes crawling on the wall above my bed and on the floor at the end of my bed-there was also a colored snake by itself under my bed. Wierd thing is that my boyfriend went out of town last night. Could this just be a form of stress or feeling alone?

I also find if i eat chocolate before bed i have nightmares. anybody else have the same experience?

You (and I apparently) are not alone. I have had what I call 'waking dreams' for years. I have also slept walk and hold perfectly logical and complete conversations with no memory of them. But back to waking dreams.

I will wake up seeing and feeling beetles in the bed. Or people/animals in the shadows of the room. This is with or without my husband in bed. It seems to happen when I am very stressed or have gotten little sleep for days. When I have waking dreams I am usually scared to death and my first instinct is to jump up and run. I found the best way to break the dream cycle is to turn on the light immediately. Or when my husband is in bed too and I don't want to wake him, I face my fear and stare down the creature. After 15 seconds you should begin to wake up. The object appears less tangible. Then I really face my fear and reach put for it. By this time I am awake enough I don't actually feel the beetle.

I do move in my sleep as well, but I have not found a cure for that. I can only suggest trying to relax yourself before bed.
