Getting Better

When I was a teenager I used to have such a bad temper that I would spend most of my paycheck from my after school job on Spackle. When I would get into a fight with my family instead of hurting them (with a fist fight or angry words) I would go into my bedroom, shut the door, and hit the wall. I didn't know how to express my anger except through violence, but I didn't want to hurt anyone.
I have since learned better coping techniques. However, there are still times that I have a surge of anger that I can't deal with. I find myself reverting to old ways at these times.
I have lived in my house for five years now and I already have at least three different holes. I have broken two remotes and one cell phone because I threw them against the wall. However, this is still much better than the hole a week I uysed to put in the walls as a teenager.
