So Many Hearts I Find Broke Like Yours And Mine

I write these lyrics as a meditation, a prayer of sorts, for those of you who are hurting:

Song Of Bernadette

There was a child named Bernadette
I heard the story long ago
She saw the queen of heaven once
And kept the vision in her soul
No one believed what she had seen
No one believed what she heard
That there were sorrows to be healed
And mercy, mercy in this world

So many hearts I find, broke like yours and mine
Torn by what we've done and can't undo
I just want to hold you, won't you let me hold you
Like Bernadette would do

We've been around, we fall, we fly
We mostly fall, we mostly run
But every now and then we try
To mend the damage that we've done
Tonight, tonight I just can't rest
I've got this joy here inside my breast
To think that I did not forget that child
That song of Bernadette

So many hearts I find, hearts like yours and mine
Torn by what we've done and can't undo
I just want to hold you, come on let me hold you
Like Bernadette would do

Forgive me, I do not know how to post from YouTube. But if I could, I would include Jennifer Warnes singing this the way it is meant to be sung. After all, she wrote it.

Have the strength to walk on with ease and grace. I hurt, because you hurt. Love, Kathie

Oh, my. Kathie, that was beautiful. It's no surprise that those lyrics speak to you, because they speak of you. The world is so full of tender hearts that are shattered and need healing. Yours, mine, ours...all of ours. Your sweetness is incredible, your love is a gift to us all. I pray St. Bernadette's blessings for your heart.

Boz, you are a light to me and to the world of EP. I wish EP were Full of people like YOU. Oxo
