I Just Lost My Mother to Ovarian Cancer I Feel So Lst

One week ago today, we laid to rest my best friend, my confidant, my teacher - my mom.  She fought Stage IV ovarian cancer valiantly for 3 1/2 years.  She was strong and determined to win the war, but after winning many small battles against the disease the war has ended.  I miss her terribly, but I know in my heart that she is now in the arms of Jesus where she has no pain and no suffering.

To all of you with the same story, my heart is saddened for you.  However, we all know what a terrible disease this is and we can all know the courage and strength of the women we have lost.  I hope that if I am ever faced with the same battles as my mom, that I can fight with the same courage and strength that she did.

    He saw the road was getting rough,

    And the hills were hard to climb,

    So He closed your weary eyelids,

    And whispered"Peace be thine."



    It broke our hearts to lose you .

    But you didn't go alone,

    For part of us went with you,

    The day God called you home.
