Maybe The Solution To Users Not Having Stories To Write All The Time...

is to allow people to "tweet" to groups. They would appear under group activity, etc...

This could be stuff like "I just saw interesting Trader Joes packaging" (or whatever)

and if nobody replies, then this remark just sits there in the little EP "TWEETS" table and that's the end of it...

But then maybe if someone replies, this automatically gets promoted to being their own full blown story (or perhaps is an option for the author to then make it one)... Cause this is just "a thought" and not "a story" until someone actually has something to say/ask/discuss etc about that thought...

There's also times a person is at a PC but really shouldn't be on EP... Maybe if there was a lightweight, non-meeboed EP site, users could tweet all these random thoughts whenever they pop into their head (like this whole story would have maybe just been posted as "EP Twitter?") and they can click "Make a story out of this" when they get home and then type in all the rest of their thoughts :-D

And what would be interesting for any mobile EP, would be if the user can assign up to six letter aliases to groups they post or tweet to all the time, so for example, I would alias "newnam" to "I want to create new names" and while riding in a taxicab, I can just pull out a phone and 'tweet' "Robertra" (or whatever) to "newnam" and everyone in that group just knows I just thought up a new name, and maybe they'll comment or maybe they won't.

And it should work on absolutely every device so you can while walking down the street go "I almost just got hit by a truck!" :-D

And of course if it's important, you can elaborate when you get to a PC...

Maybe the tweets can even have an optional expiration date... cause like 6 months from now, I'm not going to remember anymore what that packaging i posted about looked like anymore :-D (If was that important, I would have written a story?)
