I'm quite the way as you tell in your story...sometimes i have so much thoughts that i feel like a 90 year old...but then i realize what's the point in telling others if they judge me or hurt me...or i burden them with my thoughts...let it be with myself...

That's why ep is good for people like you Papri. You can get things off your chest here. I'm quite the opposite and not everyone can stand my openness.

I've had times when I have been away from the EP community for long times having just been fed up with some of the things going on here and expectations of values so different from my own. I am currently having similar concerns again...

Could be. There seems almost to be an expectation for us to just get things done without complaining a lot of the time.

jmo, I think everybody needs to share as much as they feel comfortable with. I can share things about hubs and I's naughty times but I'll never let slip anything that could lead somebody to my door again....We all keep what we need to keep quiet.....It's sensible in a lot of ways!!

Very true. I remember reading of your story a long time ago. Pretty spooky...

I don't think you are being cynical, you are just quiet. You know that old saying, "better to be quiet and thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." Thats my motto, anyway.

Yes, was that Shaw or Wilde I wonder, or am I muddling things?

I thought someone told me once it was Abraham Lincoln, but maybe he was quoting them.

Wouldn't surprise me if it were Lincoln either :)

I wear my heart on my sleeve and I wish I could a bit more like you.

Gosh I bet it gets a fair bruising all the time. People just aren't that sensitive, whether intentionally or not, it would seem.

I could tell you a story, I'm crying since a few days. :'-( You do better with keeping things to yourself.

I used to be more open and vocal but I've learned to keep negative opinions to myself and not "cause drama" as people like to say when I'm wanting to point out something that they are doing that is hurting me. I'm fully convinced that the people in my life just want me to be pleasant all the time, and if I'm not pleasant, then it's fair game to dole out advice to me on how I should arrange my life. I didn't ask for that advice and they think they are telling me something I don't already know. It gets irritating and frustrating. So, I just don't say anything and thus no fodder for their judgement and instruction.

Yes, I understand you very well, and can sense the frustration, also understandable my friend.

I feel you on this... It's so sad how you can never rely on people not to be so judgemental. I've learnt to get on with my life and not to busy myself giving people an explanation of who I am. I know some people might not agree but I believe sometimes it's not worth it; to be misunderstood...
