We Help Victoria! Together!!!

Victoria is a beautiful russian baby. She was born by prematurity birth March 24, 2012, at 24 weeks of gestation. After the first treatment for the prematurity birth, the doctors have diagnosed a Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), grade 5, practically has occurred the growth of new blood vessels. These blood vessels are abnormal, and negatively affect the normal development of retinal vasculature. Thus, retinopathy of prematurity occurs when the normal development of retinal blood vessels is prevented.

In practice, Victoria cannot see.

In the Republic of Marii-El doctors refused to help because there is not a structure and knowledge capable of intervene and solve this problem. So parents have gone to the city of Cheboksary, but it was too late and doctors were not sure to intervene with laser treatment. Problem was that Victoria after premature birth has remained in the hospital for four months and no one has been able to do anything while the baby was in an incubator. The advice that was given to the parents of Victoria was to go to St. Petersburg at Hospital No. 19 KA Rauhfusa.

Today, after nine months of life, Victoria she underwent numerous trips, numerous visits and three eye operations.

According to the provisions of the doctors at the hospital in St. Petersburg, unfortunately, the right eye of Victoria can no longer be saved, but since the last diagnosis is possible save her left eye by undergoing a treatment which provides a number of operations with admission. In this way is possible to give Victoria a chance to see from one eye and not to live a life of blindness.

The cost of each operation is 100,000 rubles (in Euro 2.500 - while in 3.125 dollars), the prediction is of 5 other operations in the shortest time possible!

The parents of Victoria is humble people and poor, they have already spent all their savings for the little Victoria, they have nothing and they urgently need of your help!

We believe that with our help, together, the little Vicki has the ability to see the world through her eyes!

What is Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP)? - Previously known as retrolental fibroplasia (RLF), is an eye disease that affects prematurely-born babies who have received intensive neonatal care. It is thought to be caused by disorganized growth of retinal blood vessels which may result in scarring and retinal detachment. ROP can be mild and may resolve spontaneously, but it may lead to blindness in serious cases. As such, all preterm babies are at risk for ROP, and very low birth weight is an additional risk factor.
