I Knit For Charity
I love to knit as well as crochet, so when both my sister and daughter were diagnosed with cancer it was a gift from God when the idea was given to me to knit scarves for cancer patients. I'm now the founder and director of Scarves From The Heart, and since October 2006 we have donated nearly 400 scarves, and we have a huge drive going now to get 125 scarves by the end of August for a September event.
There is also a knitting group that I attend when I can, usually every other Tuesday (due to distance and gas prices). I also crochet baby hats along with this group to donate to a local hospital, and the gals also make scarves for SFTH.
I currently have several UFO's in progress, about 6 scarves in one stage or another of progress, a crocheted baby blanket and baby sweater, both for an upcoming baby shower.
