Wool Forever!

My grandmum taught me knitting when I was a kid, but I never really picked it up until I was much older. Now I love it and knit every day. It's great to have something to do with my hands when I'm waiting at the dentist, or taking the metro to work. Also, the delight of the texture of the fibers—the wool, silk, alpaca, angora. And there is the great pleasure of making something with my own hands, investing time in a physical object that represents my fondness for a person.

I picked up knitting about one year ago, and I am addicted! Actually, my Granmother taught me to knit many, many years ago, but I never really pursued it. I did lots of needlework (cross stitch), but my eyes are not as sharp these days. Knitting has been a good replacement craft. Many people on my holiday gift list received homemade scarves last year. I'm making felted handbags this year!

Yes, it's great to do while waiting somewhere! :)
