Just Learned How To Crochet!

Yesterday, a friend of  mine lent me her crochet hook and some yarn and taught me how to do a very basic stich. I'm not sure what any of the technical terms are but, I pull through one loop, then pull through both loops, then repeat. Starting was kind of difficult (after all, it was my first time EVER crocheting), I thought, but after a few rows I got better and the stitches look pretty nice if I say so myself! It's kind of fun and lets you zone out without exactly doing "nothing" (I'm a PRO at this, lol). I'm pretty glad I learned and I might buy some of my own hooks (or needles? what do you call them) or borrow my mother's.

If I recall, actually, my mother had tried to teach me how to knit when I was very young but I almost immediately forgot how to and it was kind of hard. ): I don't remember much of that. It COULD have been crocheting, actually, given my bad memory, but I hardly ever see her crochet; usually she knits. =/

And to anyone who thinks knitting and crocheting is for old people... I'm only 18 and think it's pretty fun! And the friend who taught me is just a year older. So there =b
