They Can Have My Guns When They Pry Them From My Cold Stiff Fingers.

Yes I'm a gun owner and I love to shoot.  I was taught how to shoot by my father when I was just a very young boy and when I could hold the rifle steady.  I was taught how to properly and safely handle a weapon and the lesson that was drilled into my head, was that you never point a weapon at another person unless you intend on using it.

The first weapon that I owned was a Remington, 22 cal,  Bolt Action, Single Shot rifle. Which I still own to this day.  I am a multiple gun owner, and own both handguns and long guns and I know how to shoot each one of them, and I strongly believe in the Second Amendment. The smallest caliber weapon that I own is the 22 caliber rifle and the largest is a 500 H & H, side-by-side, double.  That is why I titled my story as I did.

Being a retired law enforcement officer, I have never had the experience of seeing anyone killed by a gun.  I have seen a person that was killed by another person that used a gun, but the gun didn't act on its own.  It had a human operator.
