A Way Of Living

I am 16 and I am a somewhat alcoholic. I started drinking when I was 12. I do not drink because I'm depressed or lonely, simply because I like it. I drink anything from vodka to beer. I recently got expelled from my school because of drinking on school property. Both my parents think I have a problem, but truthfully I know I don't, I just like drinking. I love the feeling of being drunk and not in control of my senses, it satisfies me.....

I have to disagree with your first sentence that you are "somewhat alcoholic." Either you are or you are not. That's like being somewhat pregant. Either you are or you are not. Not all heavy drinkers are alcoholic. Some can simply quit but I doubt that you can. You drink because you like the effect produced by alcohol. You have created a dependence on it that will worsen in time. It is now your friend but will turn into your worst enemy. If you can't take one drink and quit or if you can quit but can't stay stopped, you are an alcoholic. And with one drink, it's not going to take you where you want to go, so you don't stop with one. I could make a lot of suggestions but I won't. I know that you're going to do whatever you want to do regardless of the trouble you get into or who you hurt until you yourself can see the need to stop - if you don't die first. I have considerable experience with drinking and being sober. I started drinking regularly at 15 and loved it! I loved the effect. I had no idea what the future held. It was not good.
