Yes I Can

Just like in the story of the train I read oh so many years ago, 'Yes I Can'.
I can make it, every day somethings become easier ... and I know I have a ways to go.
Yes, I can make it because of my friends who don't pre-judge me, don't make snide or catty remarks or generally tell me that me and my ways/thoughts are disgusting.
Oh, yeah it happens some but I don't let them get to me any more. I will not hide from them nor will I run from them
I gonna make it. I'll make my goals and my dream come true. I believe in me and my goals. My road may be bumpy and unmarked but I know where it is and I'll follow it.
Just like that old Mary Tyler Moore show there, "She's gonna make it after all."
