Who Will Be Left Behind?I can remember when the Rapture teaching began. There was quite a religious movement. They claimed, "People will just disappear into thin air, not even
their bodies left behind." There are a few Bible facts missing from that supposition.
1. Flesh and blood cannot inherit God's Kingdom. ~ 1 Cor. 15:50. Jesus' resurrected body was different. He could appear suddenly in a locked room.
It is even so written : " The first man became a living soul.; The last man Adam became a life giving spirit. 1 Corinthians 15 : 45. It goes on to say, "And just as we have borne the image of the one made of dust, we shall bear also the image of the heavenly one.
2. My Bible says it's a good thing to be left behind on the earth. Revelation 7 : 9 is the first mention of a great crowd , that no man can number, dressed in white robes. One of the elders asked John, who are they, and where did they come from? John said, "My lord, you are the one who knows." He answered, "These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes in the blood of the lamb, they have been rendering sacred service, day and night in his temple. ~ Rev. 7: 14.
"The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool." ~ Isaiah 66:1
3. For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it.
As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away
from it. ~ Proverbs 2 : 21, 22.
4. For then there will be a great tribulation such as not occurred since the world's beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones, those days will be cut short. ~ Matthew 24: 21 - 22. Some of the chosen ones will remain alive on the earth until they die. Then they will be changed in a twinkling of an eye, and join the ones who fullfill this promise found at Revelation 5: 10 ~ "and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.
