Why Tell?

People tend to tell me their secrets quite often.  I can totally understand why people feel the need to keep secrets from certain people or from the world as a whole.  Personally I pride myself on being open and honest with other people (and with myself, that's the hardest part), and at this point in my life I don't have any secrets.  I guess that honesty is what has led people to trust me with their sensitive issues.  Even when I grow to dislike people, if they betray my trust or come to hate me, as a few have, I never tell their secrets.  That's a line I won't cross.  Though sometimes I wonder: if you want something to be a secret, why tell someone at all?

I've always been a very lucky person (despite being poor as hell), I dunno about admirable. :D<br />
I guess it'd feel good to get something off your chest if you're afraid of what people will think.

It's a basic human need... the need to communicate. It's not that we want things to be secret, we are afraid to tell. Or we want them kept from particular people. You're lucky if life has lead you to a point where you have none - lucky, and admirable.
