He's My Hero.

I  know someone, that has always walked alone, because when other people would find pleasure at someone elses expense, he would walk away. When others would turn to chemicals, he'd go home. He respected his parents, others, and himself. So he walked alone.

He has a spirit about him, and he makes everyone he touches feel special. I discovered how amazing he was a few years ago, and i've held on for dear life since, letting him drag me in a good direction.

He's the only person I know that joined the military because he wanted to "save the world" and it was the only way he could see he might be able to make a difference. He got in to realize just how rare he was.

It never ceases to amaze me, how he can spend all day training in the desert and find time to check in on me before he crashes into bed. "keep your chin up, beautiful, don't worry about me, i'm unbreakable"

He sees good in people, he's trusting, and he's forgiving. My biggest fear is that someone will see these traits as a weakness and prey on him, or that he'll get himself killed trying to be a hero. I know he'd be satisfied with that, but he's been my hero all along.
