My Father Died From Lou Gherigs Disease

My father passed away 8 years ago due to Lou Gherig's Disease, and it was really awfull. He was diagnosed April 12, 1999, and passed away October 12, 1999. He only survived 6 months. It affected the muscles in his arms, legs, and throat. I shaved him and gave him a bath, and helped him in the bathroom. I fed him, which took awhile sometimes, and took him to get accupuncture treatments which did help ease some of the pain, from the dibelitating disease. He got so bad, we had to put him in the hospital, and on Saturday, his kidneys started shutting down, and by Tuseday, he had passed away peacefully in his sleep. I remember getting the call from my sister, saying DAD Just Passed Away. It was horrible, but then I realized he was not in anymore pain. He was at peace, and found peace with God, before he passed away.
