Over For Another Year

"Everyone get off the street! Mardi Gras is over. You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here." This is the speech that New Orleans police broadcast at exactly midnight on Fat Tuesday. Using mounted officers and patrol units the guys in blue herd the people toward inside locations. The street sweepers come in and clean up the filth that is left. Intoxicated, belligerent individuals are rounded up in vans and hauled away for arraignments that last all night. This year violence broke out after a parade in the garden district and 6 civilians, including an infant were shot by 2 thug punks that were caught & are now in custody. Turns out all were superficial wounds, and Thank God  no one was severely injured. The baby was grazed and is doing fine. Doing a tough job since Katrina, but still doing it. If the Feds don't help with funds, New Orleans will become a sewer filled with these rat bastards. We gotta keep up the fight to SAVE OUR CITY!! President Obama hear our plea!

Have you heard of the broken window theory? If this situation in New Orleans is ignored by the rest of the country it will become worse, so much worse. Remember US history began in New Orleans long before 1776.
