"Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

"Everyone is fighting without knowing the whole story, yet everyone knows the ending to the story."

    That's wonderfully said!

Its' hard because theoretically War is never right. But we don't live in a world based on theory.

I'ts almost two different realities too. People often agree on theory, but that's not the way the world works is the other thing they agree on. So you have to wonder, why IS there a communication problem?

When it comes down to it, everyone does want peace, so why is it so hard? And what it really comes down to is ignorance. You have underdeveloped countries that live off the same moral code like it's the year 1500 B.C still. Uneducated belief systems and the rule of dogma.

I would say the hardest person to argue with is God, especially if your God is going to punish you if you do not uphold such beliefs - Can't really beat that.

To each his own for such beliefs, but what do you do when the majority believe the same thing?

The world for the most part has progressed for the better, but only in major areas where diversity is accepted. Where there is no diversity , you will have the hardest time changing views. Because to live among so many different ideas and looks, you would have to learn tolerance or acceptance to get along.

It is so strange, because really, everyone is fighting without knowing the whole story, yet everyone knows the ending to the story. And where there is a tie, there is sudden death. We have a win or lose attitude, and it's really hard to see a winner (everyone) without there being some sort of loser - Just think about it - If peace does cost something, who pays? And if peace is free, why pay for it? Again, its really about who actually think's it costs and who think's its free.
