Happiness Is To Be Discovered Within

in the east

the silver tongued sun steals the night swift shadows

it is not there

in the south

the quickening aurora flashes colding snow peaks

it is not there

in the west

the leaving tides swallow horizons whole

it is not there

in the north

the sweating land pulses songs of celebration

it is not there

above you the sky father embraces us with his curving omnipresence

and below us earth mother cradles the bones of her children with the unconditional heart of life

even between THEM it is not there

true happiness

is to be discovered within
