I Love Gentlemen

Yes, I know there are many gentlemen left in this world.  I have met a lot of them lately.  He was the man who opened the door and the helped me pick up the contents of my laptop bag when it burst last week.  He is the man that calls me during his only free time to make sure that I am okay.  He was the man who pretended not to see that my breast popped out of my shirt at Walmart and looked away so I could fix it.  He is the man that stayed up way past his bedtime chatting with me to make sure I was feeling good about myself before he went to bed.  He is my brother, my father, my friend, and my lover; all of these men are gentlemen and I am proud they are in my life.

Getting to read that there are women like yourself that truly KNOW what a gentleman is, can actually recognize it when it's in front of them and fully appreciates it, is so incredibly refreshing!!!!

I was raised to be a gentleman. I wish women like you were on the receiving end of these types of gentlemanly acts when I did them. In recent years, all I've heard is "that's not necessary, you don't have to do that, we're not that formal; or I can do that myself, I don't need you to do any of that for me, I'm perfectly capable!" It makes me wonder what happened, what went wrong - for men AND women.
