I Laugh Out Loud, even When Im On My Own
Well, this morning was just like any other morning. I woke up, I was trying to get the kids up, get ready for work, get the kids ready for school. At a fast pace like this, you tend to just go through the every day motions to get done so you can get out the door and start a new day. Again...this day was no different.
I walked into the kitchen to prepare a cup of coffee for myself. I have a Keurig and of course, the reservoir was running out of water...because you know...I wasn't running late yet. I got the reservoir and placed it under the faucet. I raised the lid to the reservoir...I was minding my own business by the way...I turned the water on slowly and all of a sudden I hear....Guuuussssshhhhhh....it was air followed by sprayyyyyyy. The damned faucet shot water at me.
By the time I jumped, cussed, and finally scrambled to shut the water off, I was soaking wet. My hair was dripping in my face. My red shirt...a much darker red. The floor was like ice, slippery and wet. My feet, getting drenched.
My face, ahh yes...my face...I was trying to see because my contacts got dowsed with the water.
Once I finally turned the water off...all I could do was start laughing. I had to look at the bright side, I wasn't ready for work when it happened. I still had to wash my hair, fix my hair, put on my makeup, get dressed, and walk out the door.
That was the best self-induced laugh I have had in a really long time.
