I Left My Keys Locked In the Car
The night before said incident, I had a dream that I was pulled over because my tags had expired. Right as I was leaving the house, this dawned on me. So, I stepped out of the car to check, just in case. While I had gotten out to look, the door had closed just enough for me to be unable to open it, but I didn't forsee it being a problem. I bumped the door just enough to close it, not realizing that the other three doors were locked. As soon as the driver's door latched, it locked.
There I was, standing in my garage...locked out of my running vehicle and out of my house. I ended up having to break into the house to call my mom, and we still didn't find the spare key. So eventually, I called a locksmith to come and unlock my car and realized he was a friend's older brother. And I had a slight crush on him at the time, so I was kind of giggly. He was with a friend, and I couldn't quite place why they were looking at me the way that they were. I just figured they were being older guys and should be ignored (I was in high school at the time). He winked at me as he was leaving, and I couldn't help wondering why.
I got into the car and realized that A.D.I.D.A.S. (by Korn) had been playing. At a high volume, on repeat. That was the last time I played that remix CD in my car. The next morning, the first people I ran into were the older brother and his friends when they were dropping people off at the school. I don't think I've ever been that mortified.
