I Life Is A Mental Game And Life Lessons Learned
Spent the day at the University and felt a lot more like my old normal self--happy, at peace, joyful, at awe with the beauty of life, and engaged by life.
These were qualities I experienced less when I was less well in the past months. I am feeling less physical pain, less confusion and more confidence than ever. Now I just have to persist through the challenging days until my full recovery :) Journaling is an outlet that I find helpful, I have discovered. Apparently being ill is as much of a mental game as a physical one.
I am grateful for several lessons:
-Boys are so cute!
-I love rest and sleep
-There are no “right” food rules
-Be You! You will create the life you want, notice the positive growth and changes you make, how you are wiser/better than you were before, and celebrate these achievements instead of being disappointed you aren’t like someone else – be grateful for your great life when it is great!
-Everyone needs to rant at a friend from time to time
-Everyone needs a plan for the times they are down
-Everyone needs close friends they can experience life and chat with
-Everyone needs to help their fellow person, volunteer, have some social engagement several times a week, or be involved in a project or passion, etc.
-Transitions are challenging, it takes time, energy and patience
-The stars align in the end, and,
-Everything gets better, you get better, it always gets better
