Why I'm Called Fishsweeper

My Husband, a Ph.D. Environmental and Aquatic Biologist, and I used to own an environmental consulting company, and we invented an electrofishing boat that could catch 100 fish per hour in lakes and streams. A good team of biologists couldn't so that in a day! (Well, they could if there were enough people and they were lucky.) Anyway, the boat would stun fish just long enough to be 'vacuumed' into a holding tank, and either disposed of as infestational pests, or used as biological samples. I named that boat the 'Fishsweeper', and the name stuck with me!

Wow! Genius!<br />

They could use a Titanic-size version to clean the Chinese carp out of the Mississippi.

Wouldn't that be GREAT?

Thats absolutely fascinating! Very ingenious solution because it probably does not hurt the fish as much as a net would. Great idea!
