Because She Is Not Pc

I like to read her articles on the web at different websites.  I don't always agree with her but the fact that she does not play the PC game is what I like about her.  She has a way of getting right to the point.  She says out loud what we are afraid to say oursleves out loud.  I've posted her article from today below for any who would like to get a lesson in not being PC.

The Cal Ripken president

As Obama prepared to deliver his address to Congress yesterday, Republican House Minority Leader John Boehner, Fox News' Bret Baier and Charles Krauthammer all gushed that history was being made as the first African-American president appeared before Congress.

Even Gov. Bobby Jindal, whom I suppose I should note was the first Indian-American to give the Republican response to a president's speech, began with an encomium to the first black president. (Wasn't Bobby great in "Slumdog Millionaire"?)

Are we going to have to hear about this for the next four years? Obama is becoming the Cal Ripken Jr. of presidents, making history every time he suits up for a game. Recently, Obama also became the first African-American president to order a ham sandwich late at night from the White House kitchen! That's going to get old pretty quick.

But as long as the nation is obsessed with historic milestones, is no one going to remark on what a great country it is where a mentally retarded woman can become speaker of the House?

Obama spent more than twice as much time in his historic speech genuflecting to the teachers unions than talking about terrorism, Iraq or Afghanistan. So it was historic only in the sense that Obama is the first African-American president, but was the same old Democratic claptrap in every other respect.

After claiming that the disastrous stimulus bill would create or save 3.5 million jobs – "more than 90 percent" in the private sector – Obama then enumerated a long list of exclusively government jobs that would be "saved."

He was suspiciously verbose about saving the jobs of public schoolteachers. Because nothing says "economic stimulus" better than saving the jobs of lethargic incompetents who kick off at 2 p.m. every day and get summers off. Actually, that's not fair: Some teachers spend long hours after school having sex with their students.

As with the Clintons, Obama so earnestly believes in public school education that he sends his girls to ... an expensive private school. He demands that taxpayers support the very public schoolteachers he won't trust with his own children.

It is one thing to tell voters that school choice is wrong, because, you know, the public schools won't get better unless Americans sacrifice their children to the teachers union's maw. But it is quite another for Democrats to feed their own kids to the union incinerator.

Consequently, no Democrat president since Jimmy Carter has been stupid enough to send his own children to a public school.

And yet the stimulus bill expressly prohibits money earmarked for "education" to be spent on financial aid at private or parochial schools. Private schools might use it for some nefarious purpose like actually teaching their students, rather than indoctrinating them in anti-American propaganda.

The stimulus bill includes about $100 billion to education. By "education," Democrats don't mean anything a normal person would think of as education, such as learning how to talk good. "Education" means creating lots of useless bureaucratic jobs, mostly in Washington, having nothing to do with teaching.

Apparently, nothing irritates public schoolteachers more than being asked to teach. While 80 percent of the employees of private schools are teachers, only half the employees of public schools are. The rest are "coordinating," "facilitating" or "empowering" something or other.

The Department of Education alone provides more than 4,000 jobs that haven't the faintest connection with teaching. And now the stimulus bill will double the Education Department's funding. (For those of you who went to a public school, that means it will become twice as big.)

We've come a long way from Ronald Reagan promising to eliminate the Education Department, which itself was a Jimmy Carter sop to the teachers unions.

Federal meddling in education has been an abject failure, so the Democrats' plan is to keep doing more of the same. If only there were some aphorism about people who fail to learn from history – oh, well!

It can't be easy to reduce the educational achievement in America year after year, but the education establishment has done it! Yes they can!

Thanks to the hard work of thousands of government workers at the Department of Education and well-paid teachers union employees, American schoolchildren perform worse on education tests for every year they spend in a public school.

It turns out that being in U.S. public schools has the same effect on people as hanging around Paris Hilton does.

In fourth grade, the earliest grade for which international comparisons are available, American students outperform most other countries in reading, math and science. Fourth-graders score in the 92nd percentile in science, the 58th percentile in math and the 70th percentile in reading, where they beat 26 of 35 countries, including Germany, France and Italy.

But by the eighth grade, American students are only midrange in international comparisons. (On the plus side, by the eighth grade they're noticeably fatter.)

By the 12th grade – after receiving the full benefits of an American education – Americans are near the bottom. Let X represent the number of years spent in U.S. public schools, and Y represent average test scores in math and reading – oh, never mind.

With an additional eight years of a public school education under their belts, Americans fall from the 92nd percentile in science to the 29th percentile. While American fourth-graders are bested only by South Korea and Japan in science, by 12th grade, the only countries the American students can beat are Lithuania, Cyprus and South Africa.

Which suggests that if public education were extended all the way through college, by the time a student gets to graduate school he might very well be qualified to be ... speaker of the House!

I view her negative viewpoint as being a necessity to her economic value, given that she's in the media business. Negative viewpoints sell in media. To wit: movie star antics! Who pays money for positive news? It has to be negative > to be controversial > to be of value to the consuming public -- sadly.

The problem is that regardless if she is right she come across as a very negative person. We all have our own personal drama to deal with, we do not need anyone one else's.

Terrific analysis ba<x>sed on in-depth knowledge, her sharp wit, and being majorly anti-PC are soooooo refreshing,

I'm pretty sure if you'd all get over the fact that you all differ in your political ideologies, the fact is everyone in this thread seems to be on the same side. We don't like hate speech, and we agree it is wrong and should be frowned upon.<br />
<br />
As for anne coulter, she makes her money by being louder and more extreme in her views than those who are thinking it but do not want to hurt their reputation by saying the things she does. She is a figurehead of hate.<br />
<br />
HOWEVER, she is not the only one. There is an excess of hatred across all political dividing line. Liberals and conservatives needlessly hate each other and, as shown here, seek to oppose each other anytime they can. Americans are eating the trash their political parties are feeding them.<br />
<br />
In "Brave new world" a perpetual (and possibly imaginary) war was a vehicle used to inject hatred and fear directly into the brains of the citizens, which overrode the cognitive parts of their brains in order to keep them under the complete control of the government. What do you think the republican party and democratic party are trying to do by inventing a "war" against their political opponents??

Gotta admit, I have a hard time generating pity for the persecution that white christian males have to endure. To hear any group whine and complain about perceived slights is bad enough, but I gotta draw a line at the poor white christian males. I'm for treating people equally, but here's a news flash: we're not there yet. <br />
<br />
Since we're talking about the constitution and religion, lets talk about the establishment clause, which clearly says that this is a secular and not a Christian nation, so allow me to vomit when I hear politicians like W talk about his faith based initiatives and his urging to "teach the controversy" (that doesn't exist) between evolution and ID. Another gag moment is when his dad openly admitted that since this is one nation under God that atheists shouldn't be considered citizens...<br />
<br />
If you feel it's awful being a white christian male, I fear you wouldn't be able to handle being a minority atheist female.

when i think of hate speech i think of race and religion primarily that is why i named mostly black liberals and YES it IS difficult being a white consevative today. everything i say is assumed to be racist or sexist or homophobic and i will admit i'm getting pretty damned sick of having to walk on eggshells every time i open my mouth. i do not condone racism or any other "ism" but racism goes both ways! as far as the insults against christians go i'm pretty tired of that as well...for the record i don't believe in any religions or gods but i do believe in the constitution of the united states which grants us all the rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. this means that the people in this country have a right to SAY anything they want so long as it is not libel or slander and we have the right to believe OR NOT believe in any religion we choose and i am seeing more and more persecution of christianity. with that said i've had just about enough of this and i'm going to take a break see y'all in 8 years

i'm not taking your words as attacks on me. I just don't agree and am showing you why I don't. dude I don't now are have I ever worn my feelings on my sleeve to be knocked off. I grew a set of balls many years ago.

grits, quit seizing my words as attacks on you. We're talking about the big picture here, and how much discrimination Obama faced, and how disgusting people like Coulter and Savage contributed towards it. <br />
<br />
dubious- I've seen the trailer for it. I have it On Demand, I'll watch it when I have time and not on a full stomach. I don't want it to make me sick.

I'm not worried about the anti-chirst. The rapture will take place first and therefore I will not be here to worry about him.<br />
<br />
just because you do not agree with the politics of someone running doesn't mean you are discriminating againt them. I don't understand why all things and people that disagree with anything Obam is discrimanation or racist. I did not vote for Clinton does that mean it was discrimanation or racist? Stop bring up the the color of Obama's skin. This also is a very weak point and shows when all else fails lets pull the race card. No that doesn't work with me. I'm in a mixed marriage.

calm down rick. Your examples of hate speech from the left all center around black people like Farrakhan who say bad things about white conservative christians. It must be super hard to be a white, conservative, christian male, huh? <br />
<br />

I didn't say that anyone who's religious is ignorant and racist. I'm pointing out that there are millions or perhaps hundreds of thousands that hate Obama for specifically religious reasons. They either hate him because they think he's the anti-christ (RETARDED) or because he's pro-choice. <br />
<br />
No one faced more discrimination to get elected. Certainly not McCain, a face that everyone knew. Old white American guy vs young Black guy with the Muslim name... hmmm. Ya, I'm pretty sure Obama get the short end of the stick there. Pretty sure there weren't any "McCain is the Anti-christ" emails going around.

Rick... not only was it said here, but there was a movie made about bush being assasinated...

ah yes now comes the trademark liberal name calling. no hate in your comment at all vendetta.<br />
<br />
btw i have not seen a single comment here on ep calling for obama to be assasinated but i did see several people call for "mad king" bush to be killed

oh ven why did you want to go there, ignorant religious racists.....when all eles fails some have to pull things like this does nothing to help with your view on things when you have no place else to go but there.<br />
<br />
there was protesting on both sides. protesting is protesting and on both sides there were thoes who took it to far.

please, as if the old white guy who's also a war hero and long time senator is going to face the same kind of discrimination as the young first term Black senator with the Muslim name... are you kidding? Obama's lucky he hasn't had an assassination attempt yet with all the ignorant religious racists out there.

there was just as much hate at the Obama rallies too. It just wasn't put on the evening news. I know several people in several different state that voted for Obama that went to some of his rallies and they were not happy with the hate there either. It all comes down to what the MSM chooses to put on the news for people to see to control what is beleived.

Personal responsibility sounds like a good, noble thing to believe in. Unfortunately, it completely excuses the people who motivate hatred and ignorance. <br />
<br />
People on both sides of the political spectrum are going to twist numbers or statistics to make their policies look better than the other guys. This is known as politics. <br />
<br />
This isn't what people like Coulter and Savage do, however. They manipulate people's fears and prejudices to foster and grow hate. They've convinced millions that anyone who is a liberal is not only deluded, but evil. <br />
<br />
Look at the nastiness that was present at the McCain rallies, where people were actually convinced that Obama is not only a Muslim but a terrorist... Not that Obama was pro-choice but that he loved abortions... that he's an undercover socialist/marxist/anti-christ coming to take their guns away and turn our country over to Iran. <br />
<br />
All of this is complete BS, and yet it bred real hatred and fear. You look at this situation and see nothing wrong with it, you just lash out at the simple folks who hold these crazy beliefs and say tough luck that they think what they do. You excuse the cause of their hatred and fear.

all I see is another way of not taking personal responsibily for one's one decisions and choices. no one holds a gun to your head to make a choice. blaming anyone or something else for choices you make is nothing more than a way to not take responsibility.<br />
<br />
All things begin with personal respobsibility. Just as no one person or group can be blamed for what our country is going through now. Much of the blame for where we are begins with each individual. Our not keeping an eye on our government, our not demanding that our elected officials do their jobs for the country and not for personal gain, our not looking first to our individual responsiblity to help those around us who need help instead of throwing it off on someone else to take care of. <br />
<br />
No, this man can blame whom ever he wants but he has no one to blame but himself for the choice he made. There are many people who do not agree with one side or the other but the way you deal with your own personal beliefs and values is owned by you and no one else. Was he misguided in his thinking, yes. But his being misguided is still on him. I don't buy it is someone elses fault. I will agree with the fact that some depend to much on others to think for them and follow blindly without question. It is still personal responsibility.

Because she nurtures hatred, that's why. Look at this news story, and ask yourself where he got his hatred of liberals and gays:<br />
<br /><br />
<br />
You might just dismiss him as the random loony, but I'll submit to you that there are millions of people out there who share this guys opinions because of the filth that Coulter/Hannity/Savage/Rush/O'Reilly spew. The only difference is that most people are able to keep themselves from killing other people, but the hatred is the same.

it amazes me how the comments in some stories take on a life of their own removed from the original story.<br />
<br />
the story was just to say that I liked the way she gets right to the point sometimes and is not PC nothing more. She makes a living being "in your face" the more out there she is the more money she makes. She is no different than a Rush or Hannity. Being this way gets her in the public eye. It's a job and is a way to get people to think. I don't understand the anger.

who did i insult??

i've never even heard of 2 of them LOL to me talking heads are people who basically have made a career of going on talk shows espousing their views on the issues. you being a liberal would not consider it hate speech to insult white conservatives but that is what we get from liberals generally. i consider singling any group out and hurling insults at them to be hate speech. now since i don't spend a lot of time listening to people whose anti american rantings just make me angry i cannot give many direct quotes but i have heard the men i named above refer to white conservatives as rednecks, nazis and fascists if that is not hate i don't know what is i guess.

I thought when you said liberal talking heads you were referring to liberal talking heads, not political activists who are democrats. Carville is the only one that would qualify as a liberal talking head. We should compare apples to apples. Liberal talking heads would be like Thom Hartmann, Keith Olbermann or Rachel Maddow. I'm not familiar with hate speech coming from them that could compare with the filth coming from Coulter and Savage. Do you have any examples?

exhibit 1 of liberals against free speech "The Fairness Doctrine"<br />
<br />
if you want examples of hate speech by liberals i can give several examples of liberals who constantly attack whites Charles Rangel, Al Sharpton, Louis Farakhan and to a lesser extent Jesse Jackson. also i don't remember his name but the New York City assemblyman who wants to slap white men. each of these men have also made anti semitic comments. Farakhan has gone as far as espousing the idea of black muslims killing white jews. James Carville has also been known to utter some anti semitic comments but then he laughs and says he was just kidding, but let a conservative use the word "niggardly" and he gets branded a racist because a bunch of people were so stupid they didn't know the definition of the damned word and made an assumption based on what it sounded like.

And what are some examples of this "hate speech"? Are there liberal talking heads calling for conservatives to be hung? It's not hate speech to passionately oppose a philosophy or a war. Unless you think all criticism is hate speech? <br />
<br />
You say liberal talking heads are against free speech? Again, I'd be interested in examples.

well vendetta the problem is they don't spew their hate speech at the commonly accepted minority groups they spew their hate at conservatives, christians, the military (without which they wouldn't even exist), the liberal talking heads are against everything that America stands for including freedom of speech!

People who spew hate speech should be shouted down. Too many in America have adopted a go-along-to-get-along mentality, afraid to criticize other people's politics or religion for fear of hurting feelings... it's quite pathetic. <br />
<br />
I'd like to think that a lot of the people here who actually like Coulter just haven't seen some of the more outrageous things she has said, and as for equating Coulter and Savage with liberal talking heads on the left, I want any of her fans here to find hate speech by prominent liberal commentators which can even remotely be in the same park as Savage's comments against gays, Jews, and Muslims, and Coulter's comments about pretty much everyone but extreme right wing loonies. Show me these outrageous things that people on the left are saying.

LOL cyanide you just said yourself you were liberal by american standards and she is an american political commentator. i personally don't care what someone's politics are when it comes to being friends so don't take that wrong ok. i have many friends here who are liberals and i love ya all (no matter how misguided you are LOL) but when i read about or listen to a radio show dealing with politics i like a little humor and i generally don't listen to folks i know i will disagree with anyway. this is something that baffles me about liberals if they hate Limbaugh and Coulter and Hannity and all of the other conservative talk folks then......why do you listen to them or read their stuff??? do you like being angry?

I agree josie. I look at the message, and try to look past the delivery. She is very harsh sometimes... yes

This thread has me scared to death. Americans supporting talking heads simply because they are the most blatant and vile extremists in a certain party?? What would George Washington think?

He would think, that Thomas Jefferson sure got far..

She is pretty goo. Sometimes she is over the top but not as much as some others, in my opinion. i also like Tammy Bruce and Monica Crowley, bot i think excellent.<br />
<br />
Sometime, with all writers, you must look to the 'meat' of the story and take some of their over the top enthusiasm with a grain of salt. Many writers make their points by being over the top ... look at most of the liberal/progressive talking heads.

lol rick. That's the proof right there....

well i'm convinced! if the liberals all hate her i'm going to start reading her stuff

Coulter does not support america. She would oppose measures that would benefit america if they were against republican dogma. <br />
<br />
Or as NOFX said "you're wrong for not hating anne coulter, because she's a ****** ****.

ok now i can agree with the libs about Savage i don't like him at all but thats mainly because he claims to be conservative but occasionally goes off on a liberal tangent trying to tell everyone what they should and shouldn't eat

Was it her or Savage that called for Madeline Albright to be hung? I forget.

my kind of girl LOL

Chris...they don't because most liberal women are not all that sharp and are unattractive. They vote with their feelings and not their brain. Libs hate strong women because they fear them.<br />
<br />
As far as being politically correct, hell no she isn't and why should she be...only weenies care about being pc.

There was a pic of her in cut-off jean shorts and a t-shirt, sitting on someones front porch holding a rifle... I like that pic.

Yes that is her. She used to have pics posted at her website. I haven't looked for a while.<br />
<br />
That is correct that many liberals do not like smart attractive women.

and assuming that is her in the avatar for this group she is reasonably attractive as well and i noticed during the campaign that SOME liberals don't seem to like intelligent and attractive women

That's why she is so disliked. She is right most of the time, and she holds nothing back...

might have to check that out

Rick. Read her stuff every week at ann She is spot on most of the time.

i don't know much about her but this story is dead on about our farce of an education system and its funny as well LOL

It's too bad that a perfectly valid criticism of our education system is lost in this silly diatribe.

Yes, if I am ever in need of a hearty laugh, I'll read something written by the lovely Ann Coulter. I don't know that I'd call her "Un-PC," but I have heard her spew some of the most hateful and inflammatory words ever spoken. She is in love with the sound of her own voice.
