24 Hour Shoot

Some of the junior members in our club had the idea of holding a 24 hour shoot for charity. Great idea.

We started shooting at 10pm with the aim of shooting 10000 arrows in 24 hours. A few people had volunteered (or been volunteered) to shoot the whole time but most people just came for a few hours when the could.

The venue was indoors at a distance of 13 yards. To make it interesting the use of sights and such gadgets was discouraged. I think a lot of people's shooting improved because of this - mine certainly seemed to.

At just after 4pm the 10000th arrow was shot. We had to carry on as it was sponsored. Final toatal over 12000

That's one way to get a lot of practice in lol :)

Cool! Ya know... That IS a great idea. I think I will try to get my local archery club to do something like that.
