Single and Loving It.

I like being single!  In my twenties I constantly worried about meeting someone to share my life with.  I concentrated on my career instead of on my relationships though.  I am now 35 and realizing that I actually like being single.  I am a new christian (1 year) and have decided that I wont have sex again until I am married so to be honest I miss that part of a relationship but it wont kill me.

I am so used to my independence now that I don't know if I could ever live with anyone else.  I don't have to answer to anyone but God now.   If the perfect person comes along I am sure that being answerable to someone else wont matter so much but for now I am enjoying it.

Being independent is essential for health....and a satisfying long term relationship is impossible without it.<br />
I have been married and divorced and I am now just beginning to find my independence again and its wonderful.

Congratulations :) I am in my twenties and I am constantly worrying whether I will find someone to marry, just like you used to. I am in this really messed up sort-of-but-not-exactly relationship and as much as I would want to make it work someday, I realise more and more that I might have to give it up if I honestly want to be in a secure relationship. Don't you regret it sometimes? I mean, that you are not married. I am sure one can get used to being independant. But I was just curious :)
