I'm lying here watching Billy Joel perform on the concert for Sandy. I realize that he was part of the sound tract to my younger days. I was in Junior high ( we didn't have Middle School back then) when I Anthony's Song fist came out. That song blew me and my friends away. I'm struck by how long ago it was. Saturday Night Live was funny back then. Black people still got chased if they walked through Bensenhurst Brooklyn, and the Bronx Zoo Yankees where winning world series. I didn't know who I was, but I was finding out who I would be. Now my idols have long been thrown off the pop charts. They do reunion tours, but I no longer know who is on the top of billboard. That's the way it goes because the future is not mine anymore. Howard Beach, Son of Sam, I wish I could do it all over again.
