I Like The Oldies, But Goodies...

Back in the days before I could afford cable, I would sit up at night and pray that something good came on t.v., at first I was not a fan of the classics, but one night this movie came on, "Dial M for Murder" and  I was hooked!  I started going to the video store or Walmart to find some interesting ones to watch.  I discovered Casablanca, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? (which I thought was awesome), Roman Holiday, Raisin in the Sun, The Diary of Anne Frank, and soo many others.  I started to appreciate why the actors and actresses were called the "Greats".  I saw that a great movie was more then blowing things up or people getting all naked.  The stories had great plots and real emotions.  I have a small collection and I like to watch them with my nieces and nephews so they can learn how to appreciate art (real art if you ask me), it hasn't quite caught on, but I can hope.  I thought when I was younger that I wouldn't ever like a black and white movie, I'm so glad to be wrong!  If you can check some of them out.  You might be surprised.
