Summer Planning

Well, here it is, the middle of winter, skiing still, and thoughts turn to the upcoming season of canoeing. Well, just not any canoeing.

Planning to do the Yampa through Dinosaur National Monument.

While I've done the Green through Lodore and down through Split Mountain, twice, I'm looking forward to completing my journey through these upper canyons of the great Colorado River watershed, or should I say, the Green River watershed.

I don't know how things got mixed up, but the Green River is the master stream.  I'll just blame it on the Spanish and still be thankful at seeing this last free-flowing stream and mastering Warm Springs rapid before hitting the confluence of the Green and Yampa at Steamboat Rock before heading into that dissected anticline that is Split Mountain.

This time I'm taking my stereo camera with me!
