I Like Cfnm
If you've looked at my groups or read any of my other stories you'll know that I like to be naked at home and also outside when I can. I've been to numerous nude and clothing-optional beaches and that is something I very much enjoy and is a very safe way to be naked outdoors. It's certainly a form of exhibitionism to be naked outside in front of other people but at the same time, for a true exhibitionist it doesn't have quite the same thrill as being naked where you aren't supposed to be naked.
On the other hand (especially as a male),being naked where you aren't supposed to be naked AND then being seen by actual people is a dangerous proposition. Usually I find some isolated place where I can get naked and feel like I could get caught but in actuality the chances are really quite small.
One day I came across something that was quite a surprise to me - that each year there is a Race/Run/Walk across San Francisco named Bay to Breakers and also that each year there are a number of people who do the Bay to Breakers completely naked. When I thought about walking naked from one side of a city to the other, in front of hundreds, no thousands, of people I knew immediately that I had to do this at least once in my life. (*Note: now with the internet and google image search and sites like this I imagine more people have heard about this tradition but at the time - around 2007 - I was flabbergasted that such a thing was allowed).
The race is held each in in the Spring and after a year of waiting, I was able to arrange my schedule so that I could travel to the Bay Area and participate in the race. To save on accommodations, I stayed at a hostel right downtown. Most of the other guests were international and a few years younger than me. Everyone was very friendly and enjoyed conversation. I struck up a few with some of the female guests and if I was asked what I was doing in town I would mention that I was doing the race and planning on doing it naked. They all thought that was very amusing but also I think they thought I was joking (after all, I think most Europeans think America is quite uptight and something like that wouldn't possibly be possible).
The night before I could hardly sleep with anticipation. The whole thing seemed too good to be true for an exhibitionist like myself, being able to walk for miles, totally naked, through the downtown of a major city, being seen by all those people, it was very arousing (*Note - while nudity is indeed tolerated during the race, lewd behavior is not. While I enjoyed these thoughts of walking naked through the city, I also knew that getting hard and/or touching myself during the event was, unfortunately, not a possibility).
The next morning ,I got up and walked to where a group of nude runners/walkers as set to meet. The plan was to go a few blocks past the beginning of the race, take off our clothes, and then join the thousands of clothed people taking part. There were probably about 20 people in our group and many had done the race naked before. Still, when the moment of truth arrived and took off my shirt, and then my shorts, and then my underwear, and stuffed them all in my backpack, and stood there in just my shoes and a hat with all the other naked races, it was an incredible feeling. Our group joined in the flow and off we went.
There was no plan to stick together so soon the group split apart and I was on my own. The race has around 40,000 participants on average so you can easily imagine that 1 naked man will soon be surrounded by lots of other people in a hurry. Plus, the race is a big event in the city and the streets were lined with spectators. Everyone seemed completely at ease with the nude walkers (since running naked isn't all that much fun :) and waved and smiled. I quickly learned to walk closer to the sidewalks since I enjoyed the attention and got asked many times to pose for pictures.
There's not much else to tell other than that the experiences was truly amazing. The route is 7 miles and took me about 4 or 5 hours to complete - and I was totally naked the entire time! If you have ever dreamed of being naked in front of complete strangers in broad daylight, this is the event for you.
I added a pic to my 'Me' album that shows me during the race.
