Not the Same As the Other Kids In the Park

My idea of chilling may not be the same as others out there.  I spent so many years in the corporate world that I think I may have forgotten how to chill out.  For so long it meant taking 10 to 15 minutes to myself and not looking at the computer.

I never realized how stressful my career really was on my health and personal being until I was laid off.  In some ways I feel more relaxed and actually healthier than  I  did before. I actually go to sleep at night and sleep through without waking up to write down 15 things I need to accomplish the next day.  I take time to take a bubble bath if I want it.  I take time to visit with people that I haven't seen in many years because i was always out of town on their special days in life.  I spend time on me and not focusing on what has to be done at a certain hour.  I feel the urgency to find a new job, however I also recognize that i can't go back to where I was previously or I will end up dead with nothing more than a large bank account to show for it.  I don't want that to be my only legacy to those I care about most so these days I am enjoying chilling out a little more, and spending more time at the kids' ball games and special events.
