We're Crazy, Right?

A few years ago, a random commenter on Rihanna's Umbrella video pointed out some eerie details I never would have noticed on my own. This led me to search for the reasons behind them. I ended up reading article after article about weird symbols in the images and lyrics of famous singers' songs, music videos, and photoshoots.

That was the beginning of my conspiracy theory binge. While I have a hard time shaking some of the conspiracies I learn about, I still feel I must be crazy if I start to believe in outrageous things like the Illuminati, mind control slaves, etc. I also enjoy reading about even more extreme theories regarding alien abductions, reptilians, etc., although those are much easier to reject so it's just entertainment for me.

Certainly, many conspiracy theorists have a few screws loose. But others seem pretty rational and support the theories with strong facts.

Still, the vast majority thinks these theories are ridiculous. I consider my dad one of the most level-headed people I know, and he laughs about conspiracy theories.

If so many people reject them as crazy, but I subscribe even the tiniest bit to them, am I also crazy?
