I have collected albums since I was sixteen. My first single was Killer Queen by Queen a second hand version!! Now I have thousands of singles and albums and they cover all sorts of music from my Deep Purple, ACDC and Motorhead days, to Style Coucil, Jam, The Stranglers, The Clash, Florence and the machine, Opera, Classical and wonderful jazz to Kings of Leon, and Calvin Harris now.

I spend a lot of my life in my car and nothing beats buying a new album or chancing it on a new band you have never geard of and playing it that first time. Very emotional and it can set you up for a brilliant day even when you are low.

Music is a thing I can fall on during hard times... Right now I'm into Muse, The Killers, Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. :D

I love Queen also. I also love Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, Elvis...the list goes on and on!!!!!

I was born in the wrong generation. I am an angsty, old school punk fan. The Clash, The Libertines, Pete Doherty, Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols, Bad Religion and The Ramones have always been favourite bands since I was a teenager.

  LipsThatWouldKiss, thanks very much for your comment....all great bands even fleetingly The Libertines! Seems that these kinds of bands are becoming rarer! Or less publicized maybe! Look up The Gallows and the Vaccines

  oh I love the Vaccines! they sound like they're a band form the '80's that got their hands on some DeLorians to rescue us from crap music. The Gallows are new to me. I'll be sure to look them up!
  I reccomend The Strokes. I actually forgot to add them to my above list. they're amazing!

Eclectic am I from a very early age

Depending on my mood there is a song for every stage

Of the day, the night, the in between

Music is my muse...it makes me feel like a teen

A little jazz here, some country there

A heavy dose of blues, and a rock and roll tear!

Great post. I'll check some of those out. The Clash, AC/DC, Florence and the Machine, Queen, Kings of Leon are some of my favorites too.

No way I would throw them out!!! Still got a few picture discs like Thompson Twins, Prince, Motorhead on pink vinyl, Rainbow on clear vinyl

Well we all had to start somewhere and I have NO Osmonds!!! lol

I love my Ipod...couldnt travel without it...got a bit of everything on it now but still sooooo much to load up!! Where to start and I can't load vinyl as I have no record player anymore...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
