All Dogs Go to Heaven!

I've often wondered , Why God did such a awesome job on Dogs and such a mediocre job on humans.
They are far superior creatures by all measures of goodness that count. Dx

TOO MUCH WORDs....... e___e

Totally. Dogs have much to teach us...

When I meet a new dog and they seem approachable, I smile, hold out my upturned palm and say "hi". If the dog accepts my invitation of friendliness, I'll continue to talk and pet its head and a new friendship is formed. You can tell if they don't want to be bothered by looking in their eyes.. they are SO expressive, pure and honest. But then again, there are a few people like that too ;)

Miss. Gooey, I read your story to Miss Sophie (avatar) .....She let out a big Wooof!! Dog speak for YES!!

If dogs don't go to heaven, I wanna go where they go!
Saw this recently fits this to a "T" LoL

Dogs are utterly wonderful ... but they need us just like we need them. One isn't better than the other, but together we're both better off.

yes a huge n funny German shepherd Maxi.

I agree with you completely!!!

You know, I am quite a spiritual person and have always thought that dogs were a reflection of God. I know that the word "Dog" is a man-made name but wonder if God inspired man to give them that name. Both will love you unconditionally and are pure hearted. God made man to be a companion to God, and then made Dogs to be the companion to man. It may be just my twisted way of thinking, but there is something very special about dogs.

omg reminds me of one my childhood favorite movies ever!!! Dogs <3

Sorry animals do not go to heaven, but you will be pleased to know neither do human souls.

If my dogs don't go to heaven, I wanna go where they go! LoL ;-)

Humans tear each other apart every day!!! Have you ever watched the news? Humans EVOLVED to be self-centered pieces of crap. Other creatures, especially dogs, not so much.

People who actually do submit themselves to God DO show love to others, it's just that this is a very rare thing for a human to do.

So... shorter lifespan, lower intelligence, no opposable thumbs, hmm

I have two dogs and lost one last year. I love my dogs and try to do what I can for them. They are amazing in the love that they give. God sure does love us to give us a companion that is so loyal and loves us unconditionally. I like the way that they have their own unique personality.

"The more I see of men, the more I like dogs" - this is the first that came across my mind when i first saw this post :)

Feelings mutual...

Dogs are blindly loyal which is great but it's just a result of domestication and social structure. They can also be viscious like when they attack innocent people... A good beating helps a dog stay in line

With all my respect, I do believe all dogs go to heaven. When my dog Saidee (yes that is how we spelled it) died I swore I could see her roaming around the house. And at night I could hear her barking!! One day I could no longer hear it !! So in my thought dogs DO go to heaven

We all know what dog is spelled backwards. They are the closest thing to what is perfect and pure. I've had many dogs and cats. Everytime I come home they greet me with loving eyes and lots of love. We are born pure and untouched. Unfortunately as time goes on humans learn from others and become defective. You are right! They are far superior creatures by all measures of goodness that count. Couldn't have said that better myself.

humans are God's wondrous creations as well---our main down-fall when compared with the goodness of dogs? MONEY. that OUR society revolves around it. you know what they say about money and what it is the root cause of!!

I recommend this story for you :) A story about God, a dog and a little girl. Very sweet.

There is a saying: "The more I see of men, the more I like dogs".
When I think of this I don't mean it as an anti-male sentiment, I mean it in the sense that it refers to all of mankind.

I agree with all the posters here....how come God did such a divine job of designing dogs and such a lousy one of designing humans? ;-)
To some Native American peoples, dogs are the link between the spiritual world & the human world.
My dog meant so much to me that she got diamonds for Valentines Day. And when she passed, I had her cremated and used her ashes in a memorial portrait tattoo of her on my leg. (pics in profile)
I am also a member of Pet Chapel. A grief counseling service for people that have had pets pass on. And have 3 sites devoted to animals (2 for dogs & one Rainbow Bridge), and admin on 8 other animal related sites.
If you Google tat2doc, you'll see I get around to a lot of animal sites.

yes, they're always so forgiving, and all of the above.

We humans will never understand the senses that dogs posess they teach us so much. My wife and I have seven.

oh. i forgot to say: i LOVE what glorygirl said!!!!! that is so profound....really makes ya think, huh?

i often think humans could learn alot from really paying attention to dogs. they love us SO much, don't they? honestly, sometimes i get a little tear in my eye when i see how eager to please they can be....i mean, they honestly do stuff because it makes them happy when we're happy!! i mean, if humans could love each other that way??? each putting the others' happiness ahead of their own??? could you imagine?!? i had one dog, in my whole life. her name was Lizzy. she honestly was one of my best friends in life and i honestly loved her like a human. (she was hit by a car a few years ago.)

but, my mom has a rott that is like my brother and i visit him often. i ALWAYS look forward to how HAPPY i know he's gonna be to see me.

i'd love to get another dog someday.....

My Goal is to one day hope to be the kind of person my Dog thoughts I was.

I've often wondered the same thing about God and dogs and humans engineering. I've heard that only one in 9 dogs gets a good home where they are appreciated. I've seen dogs tied to a car with a chain and that was their place. They never got petted or appreciated. They need to live with the family as a part of the family. They are wonderful furkids.
