I Like Fairytales
My favorite fairy tale when i was a kid was the Tinder Box by Hans Christian Anderson, it wasnt a long story...i always did have concentration issues but this tale had me engrossed. No matter how many times i heard it, it always held this magic. The book also had some great images which also was part of the fascination. The story is basically about a soldier who's coming home from war and he bumps into an old witch who asks for his help and promises him all the money he could ask for if he climbs down into an old dead tree. She gives him instructions of what he is to do when down there. He then enters the tree and finds three doors, in the first there is a chest in the middle of the room and on it sits a dog with eyes as big as tea cups, in the second room there is a dog on a chest with eyes as large as mill wheels and in the third room there is a chest and on that sits a dog with eyes as large as the round tower.
