For the past two weeks, my 10 gallon fresh water tank was infected with ich. I decided to buy some ich treatment from a LFS. After a couple days, it didn't seem to be working. I had lost 2 out of my 7 red minor tetras. So I decided to stop using the treatment all together. Instead, I continued to add salt every now and then to the water, and used some fungus cure for fin rot that had started to present itself in some of my fish. I ended up losing one more because his fin rot was too severe, but now the 4 I have left seem to be recovering. There are very little traces of ich left. Originally, I thought I was going to lose my entire tank. It seems like the ich treatment I bought was a waste of money.
