Mmmmm,Fried Catfish!!!!

Mmmmm,I do love fried catfish,it's my favorite. My son loves to fish we had to buy an extra freezer just for his fish but a small one.For some reason he rarely catches catfish,it's always drum, red, trout and alligator gar.He has the most luck with alligator gar which I hate.I don't hate to eat it but those things are huge,he's walked in the house to show me he 6 ft. gar, lol.I look and tell him good catch son now get out, lol.I saw a documentary on alligator gar those things are dangerous, they get really humongous and their teeth are scary.Of course my son says their not dangerous that you just have to know how to handle them,Okaaaay whatever!!!

When I first met my soninlaw he caught a catfish that was 3 to 4 feet long,it was a beauty. He cleaned and cooked the fish all by himself,it was delicious!!!I don't get to eat catfish as much as I'd like to and I prefer it extra fresh, like caught, brought home, cleaned and fried.I like my fried catfish with lemon juice,it's the best!!!

Mmmmm, sounds good wiseowl,I'll have to try this.Yeah and I hate to turn on my oven during the summer,so as soon as acold front comes in I will try this.Thank you and for commenting too!!!!

try this ..2T oil, 2 tsp garlic salt, 2 tsp thyme, 2 tsp paprika, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp hot sauce, 1/4 tsp pepper. Mix it and brush on catfish fillets. Coat both sides. It coats about 4 fillets. Bake 450 degrees for about 15 minutes..more or less.I just check for the fish to be flaky and not over done. This is nice in cooler weather when you want to bake. You can double the amount and adjust the ingredients, if you want to. Oh..a non stick baking dish for sure.Bon appetit!
