George got it right

B esides George Carlin, I enjoy: laughter, humorous stories,mostly nonfiction books, I do believe in intelligent life on other planets and they are probably getting a real hoot out us making such a mess of things here on earth. George was one of the few comedians that told the truth and could make it funny, sadly enough he's gone to a better place and is watching from the side lines now. He made impressions on me through out my years of viewing his routines. He was a very observant person of our lives who brought different ideas to think about, most of them truths you could not deny.

I am paradoxical, as you can see from all my favorite movies and books, they are all fictional

I have less time in front of me than behind.

I've been to Viet-nam as a non combatant during the Viet-nam conflict.

I find this site to be interesting and drop a few comments only with the intention of help or humor.

I live in a happy marriage with children and grandchildren that I see on a regular basis or when I can. No I'm not living the perfect life but it is what my wife and I have made of it. Compromise is essential in a healthy relationship.

I grew up in a poor family,my father used to beat up my mom at times to the point she was suicidal. That eventually stopped when he got back to work. I made the promise to my self that I would never do that.

I believe life will bring what you want if you ask for what you believe is possible.

I am not a follower or leader. I abstain from roll playing. I am comfortable with who I am. I am spiritual,in that I feel that God is part of each and everyone of us. It's up to you to let him show through your acts toward your fellow man. I don't believe in religion for the most part. If I believed in any practicing religion I would be a Buddhist.

I enjoy music and being a youth in the 60s spoiled me . It was the best of times and the worst times. A very creative time and a time of becoming.

I wish the youth of today could have experienced those days. People were so much more idealistic about the possibilities in their lives.

I hope, we as a people are able to evolve to another level of enlightenment. I think that it is happening to some degree.

You definitely have to love yourself to be successfully in a relationship or a job and by that, care about what you want to improve about yourself. Your love interest should not define who you are. Each has to be strong enough to stand their own. Aspire to be  better. Set your bar high.

Sorry, that I hijacked this experience to open up about myself. This subject "I love George Carlin", appeared on another site and when clicked on it the link brought me here, I opened an account here on E.P. and this was my first experience story. I guess I was still in the sharing mode, after all the questions I answered registering an account. This last paragraph was added after going back and reviewing some of my stories. Sometimes I tend to drift off the subject and here is a good example. 6-1-09.
